Been looking forward to this album, on the strength of the single "Feel It Comin' On", released some weeks ago. I have all the Star Collector albums now and this one contains some heavier tracks than previously. For me, that's a good thing! On first listen the standout tracks are the aforementioned single, "Feel It Comin' On",

Track 1 hooked me out of the gate, and it's an 11-way tie for 2nd-favourite. The lyrics, instrumentation, arrangement, dynamics, performance and production are excellent throughout. Others have used the word "fresh" to describe Tamar's music, and I agree. I'm never sure what will happen next and that's what makes it so exciting!

Rob sheds his D.C. hardcore legacy to join up with some truly legendary figures to unleash a proto-punk/rock 'n' roll record in the vein of the New York Dolls and the Heartbreakers. A different line-up for each song varies things up quite a bit track-to-track, but with Rob standing at the center of it all - there's a cohesiveness to this album as well.
